P5 – Generate further ideas for their own new social media
website including a) Purpose
I have decided to create a social media website which is based
on the idea of people sharing their interests as a way of communicating online.
I have done this by designing a website which is suited to those who have a
love for animals and are interested in using this as a topic for socialisation
through my new social media website. I have named the site ‘Animal Ville' which
gives a clear indication of the websites’ purpose at an initial view.
When online, the target users for my site will be able to
design their own personal profile so that others online can view this and
identify the person they are reaching out to communicate with. Therefore, each
user has the chance to socialise with their friends and family online, as well
as reaching out to new people they have never met before; perhaps those who are
in a different country.
The aim of using the site, despite connecting with various
people online through socialisation, is to ultimately find someone of which has
a pet of a similar type, or even the complete opposite, yet shares the interest
of wanting to meet up and socialise your pets together. Therefore, it is not
just the people online who are benefiting from the site, but also their pets.
Using my designed website is an easy way to connect online
through a brand new social media website. Users can connect with various people
online, whether it’s through sharing information on public posts, or through
direct messages hidden from the publics view.
