P4 A – Generating ideas for a new social media
account including purpose
Some of the most popular social media accounts being used now
are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. Each of these accounts are
thriving social networking sites with at least 1.59 billion monthly advisers
and over one billion that log on daily; this is an estimate by gathering the
information from each site directly. A main feature that helps these sites to
become popular is due to instant messaging. After failing to acquire Snapchat
in 2013, Facebook acquired WhatsApp in 2014 so that it could be the one that
was on top of instant messaging.
I have decided to include an instant messaging service in my
newly designed social media account, as I believe that this is one of the most
important features to hold. Instant messaging is a way for people to connect
online which is crucial in the social media industry. This feature allows
people to interact with those who are spread out all over the world, meaning
they can connect with relatives, friends or even meet new people. One reason
why instant messaging is so popular in social media accounts is due to the fact
that the messages are hidden from the public, meaning that only the person you
are sending them to will be able to read them. This way you can share a private
chat and no one can intrude on your private conversations.
As previously stated, the ultimate goal of my social media app is for people to communicate online through their sharing capabilities. Therefore, there is a clear focus on pets distributed through my app, which should be the main topic for socialisation when users are communicating via the instant messaging feature of the app.

Here is an example of someone sharing a post through the
social networking site Twitter. This means the entire public is able to view
their post.
